NGC 7023 and LBN 487, The Iris Nebula, on 2025-10-21,22,26,27,28,29,30,31
The Iris Nebula is a bright reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. NGC 7023 is the open star cluster within the larger reflection nebula designated LBN 487. The nebula, which shines at magnitude +6.8, is illuminated by the magnitude +7.4 star HD 200775. Both the open star cluster and the larger reflection nebula are located about 1,300 light years from Earth. This photo was taken in Kyle, Texas through a 6-inch f/4 Telescope, on a ZWO AM5 mount, with a ZWO ASI533MC PRO color camera plus a dual-band Ha-O III filter. The processing was done in PixInsight. The total image acquisition time is: 16 hours 34 minutes 30 Seconds.
