NGC 4438 and NGC 4435 on 2026-02-25,26,27, The Eyes Galaxies, Markarian's Chain
NGC 4438 and NGC 4435, also known as Arp 120 and The Eyes Galaxies, are about 52 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. NGC 4435 is a barred lenticular galaxy currently interacting with NGC 4438. The pair are members of the string of galaxies known as Markarian's Chain. The chain of galaxies include M84 (NGC 4374), M86 (NGC 4406), NGC 4477, NGC 4473, NGC 4461, NGC 4458, NGC 4438 and NGC 4435. This photo was taken in Kyle, Texas through a 4.5-inch f/4 Telescope on a Sky-Watcher EQ6-R mount, with a ZWO ASI533MC PRO color camera. No Filter was used. The processing was done in PixInsight. The total image acquisition time is: 8 hrs 4 min 00 sec.
