NGC 1909 on 2025-12-18,19,20

NGC 1909, the Witch Head Nebula or IC 2118, is a very faint reflection nebula located approximately 900 light-years away in the Eridanus constellation. It lies visually close to the nearby constellation Orion and is illuminated by the bright blue supergiant star Rigel. This photo was taken in Kyle, Texas through a 4.5-inch f/4 Telescope on a Sky-Watcher EQ6-R mount, with a ZWO ASI533MC PRO color camera plus an Optolong L Pro Light Pollution Filter. The processing was done in PixInsight. The total image acquisition time is: 6 hrs 30 min 00 sec.
