I purchased my first CCD camera (a cookbook 245 built by Mike and Jane Squicciarini of Houston, Texas) in May of 2001.  At that time I was making major modifications to my 17.5 inch telescope, adding Byers gears and large aluminum altitude bearings, so my telescope was not ready for CCD imaging. From May of 2001 until February of 2002, I used the Houston Astronomical Society's 14 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope located near Columbus, Texas to start doing astronomical CCD Imaging. I appreciate the clubs kindness in allowing the generous use of their telescope.

Shown below are images done using the Houston Astronomical Society's 14 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope and my Cookbook 245 CCD camera. All images are unguided. This was the beginning of my astronomical CCD imaging journey!
